Early Fire Equipment

The Fire trucks shown in this picture are a far cry from those in use today, but more modern equipment was just becoming available.  A few years after this photo was taken, the old hook and ladder truck and 'city' pumper were replaced.
The Fire Department's Station #2 was the only fire station for many years in Ozaukee Country.  Some newer trucks are parked in front of the building.  The house that was removed to build a new fire station in 1964 is visible at the right.
